Designing is like making music …

It all begins with Clients need, we started contemplating the idea, open sketches book and starting the day with line, every line matter as our designing routine wishes,

Yes indeed, designing proccess would be very hard & painful, but as usual technology always catch up our requirment yet at the same time Clients espectation also growing. For sure, technology will fullfil our desire for a while and then we got into the wall yet once again. But after all its all about the fun proccess of the designing. Perhaps we might endup with a bad result at the end, as in reality, not everything always works along side with our expectation.

Im very fascinating with music while im an architecture student. As an architecture student, im not really outgoing person. So, most of my day after Campus was just do experiment with the noted and study how its corelated with music.

a few ways that i use music notation into architectural design concepts:

  1. Inspiration: Music notation can provide inspiration for the forms and shapes used in architectural design. For example, the repetitive patterns found in minimalist music could be used to inform the geometry of a building's façade.

  2. Visual representation: Music notation can be used as a visual representation of the flow and movement of spaces within a building. For example, a series of lines and symbols could be used to indicate the flow of movement through a building, much like a musical score indicates the flow of notes in a piece of music.

  3. Soundscaping: Music notation can be used to create a soundscape for a building. For example, the rhythms and melodies in a musical score could be translated into the rhythms and patterns of sound that one experiences in a building.

  4. Conceptualization: Music notation can be used to convey the conceptual ideas behind a design. For example, a series of notes could be used to represent the movement of light, or a building's various functions.

  5. Emotion & Ambiance: Music notation can be used to create an ambiance or mood that a designer wants to impart on a space. Musical notation can be used as a tool for architectural storytelling, to create a narrative for a building.

It's worth noting that the correlation between music and architecture could be very abstract, the implementation is really depend on the designer approach, the concept and the purpose of the project itself.
